This device is in the automatic operating mode 0x00:

It automatically captures the UID of HF RFID data tags of the ISO14443A standard and outputs it as a keyboard entry on the connected computer.

A UID can be 4 or 7 bytes = 8 or 14 characters long. The UID is output in hexadecimal representation. The data sequence is LSB First.

No drivers are required for this function; the device logs on to the computer as a standard keyboard.

…

If you want to use a different RFID standard, set the output of the UID differently or read a part from the user memory, please use the "HID Setting" software to set or switch off the automatic operating mode.

In this case, please check whether the drivers for the COM interface are correctly installed in the device manager under "Ports (COM & LPT)" => USB-SERIAL CH340 (COMx). There should be no yellow exclamation mark here.

…

If you also want to set postfixes and prefixes, you can use the HID Setting software to do this. Then save the settings with [SET] in the lower area of the software.

If you want to use special characters, you can use the USB Usage Tables to create your own command. This is described in the "OEM-LF_HF-M1000 Configurable Prefixes and Postfixes".
